Just noticed that there appears to be a new update for the X60plus for XP. Don't know whether this will sort out the powerplay functionality of the ATI X1700 GPU on the X60plus, thus improving the battery life.
I am very sceptical about this therefore I am not getting my hopes up high considering how long it takes to get significant updates from Samsung.

I downloaded that file. Although the drivers folder is date 15 Jun 06, the newest file anywhere in the package is 4th April 06. In fact, the contents of the zipfile are identical to the ATI driver I downloaded in July 2006 for the X60. It's the same as this, I suspect.

The file that looks more interesting is this one for the NT-X60plus. It has a different size. In fact, a check of the NT-X60plus files reveals a new BIOS, 21XD dated 3rd Oct 07. Maybe there are other things as well. Check here for all NT-X60plus.

Yea I felt that there was a possibility that they would be old. I tried to install it and kept get the error "setup will only run in administration mode".

Even tried uninstalling previous driver but this didn't work either. Now I will probably give the one from that link you just supplied.

I installed BIOS 21XD. No problem, but no obvious change.

ATI 8.283 is the same as I downloaded and installed in Feb 07. I reinstalled it after updating the BIOS, but still no sign of a PowerPlay tab.

So I don't think Samsung have brought us any good news. I am disappointed that 11 months after the X60plus was released they still have the wrong drivers etc listed for NP-X60plus on their global download site (but NT-X60plus is OK).
