I have a NF310 netbook and I'd like to make the recovery partition (Using samsung application) before installing a linux distribution (Fuduntu) and have a dual boot (win 7 starter + linux funduntu).
I'd like to know which can be a plausible size for the recovery partition and at the time of partioning which the minimum size required for the windows 7 partion (Not considering the utilities and "data" files, them will be installed in another dedicated partition)

    thanks

I would recommend at least 40GB for the Windows partition. It may not need all that space to start with programs which you install in another partition often dump a load of files into the C drive.

The required recovery partition size will depend on what you are trying to save as backups. If only a single image then 20GB is probably plenty to store a compressed copy of C:

Yes I'd like to have a partition with windows 7 alone, a partition with the recovery image and the remaining space dedicated to data (ntfs partitions) and a linux patition (for moblin)

    What about ?
