I want to download the P05AAC BIOS from the samsung website but in order to do that I have to know the exact file name. For the P04AAC BIOS it's "ITEM_20120825_636_WIN_P04AAC.exe". For those here who have upgraded to P05AAC before and still have the file hanging around their HD, can you reply with the exact "ITEM..." file name, as in the example above?

The exact name of the P05AAC file is "ITEM_20121126_861_WIN_P05AAC.exe".

However, I would note that Samsung removed it a week or so after releasing it (so for a couple of months I had a BIOS that that newer than the newest available). The current newest BIOS is P06AAC ("ITEM_20130219_1005_WIN_P06AAC.exe").

I can't remember any issue with lid open caused by P06AAC. It just did the usual BIOS update turning off of the Battery Life Extender.

However, I should point out that I'm running Windows 7 with Intel Rapid Start Technology which is no longer 100% reliable since this BIOS update so I'm planning to install IRST V2.

Found the fix for the lid open issue! Restart your computer and press F2 at the BIOS screen to go into the BIOS settings. Enable the S3 Auto Wake function. It's in the same list as the battery charge saver and USB charging options.

So this is a new option in the latest BIOS that wasn't there before? Can you confirm what the new version that you're using is, and which laptop?
