My 2004 X10 only recognizes 137GB. I recently upgraded to a 250GB WD EIDE
via cloning from original Hitachi 60GB. It somehow worked great until recently
and now the HDD is completely messed up, OS gone and everything.
I guess BIOS only recognized 137GB but XP2 was able to tag it as 250GB,
but something went wrong and the whole thing got corrupted badly corrupted.
Well, I still have the old Hitachi and can clone it again, but I don't want to
to go out and buy a new 120GB. I'd like to keep the 250GB, but realize
that the only proper way is to upgrade the BIOS.
I live in the US, I tried their so-called Service Center in Texas and was of no help.
Any help out there will be much appreciated.

You can see if one of these at SamsungPC fixes your problem. If not, work through this list.

I see that those are English version Bios on SamsungPC.com...
I have a Korean version right now, so I somehow
contacted Samsung Service headquarters in Korea
and they sent me the Korean version 09YK.
Installed it in about 2 minutes.
Thanks for getting me in the right direction. -

Thanks for update.
But did the upgraded BIOS get you past the 137GB limit?
