hey guys, i have in my possession the above mentioned notebook and can not for the life of me find an audio driver for it.

    The Device ID is : VEN_11D4 & DEV_1986
OS: Windows XP Home 32-bit SP3

I keep coming across the Soundmax AD1986 but the driver doesn't work "No matching hardware", and any other suggestions turn up windows XP x64 or vista/7 drivers.

the machine is a chinese model i believe, i had to cross reference all the other drivers by using their device ID's, but audio is proving to be a challenge.

Samsung have a global download site (there is a link to it on the US download site) and the NT series are listed there. However, I would expect the hardware drivers to be the same as for the European X11 for which the downloads are here.

Thank you my friend! the driver you linked appears to be working :)

i just tried Samsung's global download site as well with no luck, the site would stop responding after i clicked "notebooks" in the drop down menu..go figure.

you have made life a lot easier :-D
