It's in device manager as a hidden device, with code 45. The Intel graphics 620 is there and working, and a second copy is hidden and code 45

Samsung update updated the Intel driver, but that didn't help.

    Any ideas?

Is there a way to completely reset the ACPI settings in the BIOS perhaps?

The NP900X5N has a Nvidia 940MX installed and not a MX420. Are you sure you installed the correct driver? Did you try to uninstall Device and remove Driver from hard disk of both GPUs in the device manager? Did you try to install the latest original drivers from INTEL and NVIDIA and not from Windows 10 Update or Samsungs Update?

Thanks, I have tried all those things, the hardware appears missing. If I try to install Nvidia the installer can't find any hardware...

And you are sure it is the 16GB 15" Version of the NP900X5N? Only this one has the dedicated GPU. Did you try a Recovery-Installation? Or try a second Installation of Windows on an External HD or SSD for testing. Check the programm Rufus and search for "Windos To Go" for this purpose.
