Was wondering what upgradable options I have with my X3D. Is it possible to upgrade the RAM from 4GB to 8GB?

Also, the SSD caching so to say, is it all worth it? My RAM is almost constantly at around 2.5-3GB used out of 4GB and I am guessing it is due to that, so is it worth having or what?

Was thinking about upgrading the SSD but I may just opt in for an external or something for large files and what not.

What other options could I upgrade that may be interesting? I do a lot of work from home so would like to beef this thing up as much as possible.

    Thank you!

Also I know it has a built in mic and then that sound port, is there anyway to use a mic/headset with this or I am guessing I will be limited to only the built in mic?

The RAM is soldered and cannot be upgraded.

Try uninstalling IntelliMemory. I think it does more harm than good if in conjunction with an SSD, particularly if the Sandisk U100.

See how you get on with the SSD. If it is the 128GB Sandisk U100 then the upgrade will offer significant performance as well as space benefits. The SSD upgrade has its own thread but I would note that if your X3D has Windows 8 pre-installed then the upgrade is less easy than with Windows 7.

Look at the symbol next to the port. Mine shows both a headset and a microphone. This indicates it should work with one of the combo headsets with microphone.
