My Samsung NP900X3C Ultrabook has died. It's acting as if no power is getting to the board, but the PSU and internal power cable have been tested, with no fault found, so the fault must be on the motherboard.
I build my own desktop PCs so I think I'm capable of replacing the motherboard myself, but the nearest match I've found on eBay is for an A07UK, with part number BA92-10257B while mine is an A04UK with motherboard part number BA92-10258A. Are these interchangeable?
Alternatively, can a Samsung specialist centre repair this without charging a ridiculously high price? I tried contacting Samsung support, but their form doesn't work.

I think all the X3C mainboards are interchangeable. The different version numbers will be generated by different combinations of CPU, SSD capacity and Windows version (normal or Pro, 7 or 8). However, both A04UK and A07UK appear to be 3317U + 128GB + Win 7 Pro.
The difference, therefore, is probably that the earlier A04UK uses the pre-Windows 8 release P**AAC BIOS while the later A07UK has the P**ABK BIOS which has better UEFI compatibility. However, I can't think of any compatibility issues because the Win 7 version shouldn't have UEFI enabled which might otherwise get confused by the absence of a UEFI partition on the SSD (if you use your existing SSD).
