The manual is $12 from samsungparts.com which is also an official source of the parts although, once you have the part number, it's often worthwhile searching around for a better price.

Isn't that interesting? A machine that is just over a year old not working. Bet it is the same issues found in a lot of the Series 7 machines.

It's probably at least two years old and may be near three years since they were available in May 2012.

If it has had a hard life running games without any maintenance (particularly cleaning of the cooling system) then heat might have caught up and it reckons it's time for a break. However, that's speculation.

    Tks for the info.

Laptop is less than 2yrs old and is in good condition. Opened it up and has very little dust inside. Laptop will simply not boot, at all. Changed power pack, removed battery, optical disk, hard drive, cleared cmos. Nothing seems to work. The laptop is getting power (checked the power pack and motherboard power connector with a multimeter) and all it is getting power. No lights light up when plugged in and zero happens when pushing power button. I figured taking a look at the schematics might help me test the motherboard with multimeter to try to determine what is wrong. I'm hoping it can be saved, its a great laptop!

The battery could be drawing down too much power and preventing the laptop from powering up. Remove the battery and try again. The laptop should power up without a battery. Also remove power from the fan(s), CD/DVD, and the HDD. They could also be drawing too much power. With all those disconnected, possibly the BIOS will start and tell you there is no operating system. Just a thought.

And remove / replace any RAM. Bad contacts can stop the BIOS from loading although there's usually a brief flashing of lights when you try to start the computer.
