    Hi,

Tried searching for this, but theres something wrong with the searchengine.

I bought this ultrabook last week, and I seem to have an issue when trying to connect it to my TV/receiver via HDMI.

When I connect it, neither the TV or my receiver recognizes the link. When I press Fn + F4, there are no other display options. The HDMI cable I used is connectet to my PS3 so I know its working properly.

I have updated the graphics drivers as well.

The weird thing is, when I have my TV/receiver set on another input than the one connected to my laptop, I get the connection "ding" and Fn + F4 shows all the display options. I tried setting it to dual screen and then change input om my TV to the one my laptop is connected to, but that somehow disconnects the laptop....

    What am I missing??

    TV: Panasonic Plasma TX50G20E
    Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR608

Google is the best search engine for this forum. Use site:notebookreview.com in the search string.

Notwithstanding that your HDMI cable works with PS3, I would first try another cable. Similar problems have been fixed with another cable. The fact that the computer can recognise the display device means that whichever contacts carry the device information are working OK, but the signal isn't getting through to the display. If you get the same problem with another cable then it's time to look closely into the HDMI socket on the computer and see if the contacts look OK.
