Im trying to figure out if the battery is user replaceable. If it is, does anyone know if I can install a bigger cell battery to increase battery life? The stock one is giving me about 5.5hrs at 80% charge. I tried googling but no one seems to be selling it. Also don't know the part number. Thanks in advance.

If the battery is not accessible without removing the base of the computer then officially it is not user replaceable. And if it is mounted internally it is very unlikely that there is space for a larger battery.

You may find you can extend the run time a little by (i) turning off Bluetooth if you aren't using it; (ii) using Flashblock in Firefox to stop unnecessary CPU usage; (iii) dropping display brightness another notch.

However, I wouldn't grumble about 5.5 hours with 80% charge.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping to get at least 7hrs on 80%. I'm thinking of situations when I'm doing international flights. Can anyone recommend a good external battery pack?

Was thinking of the veho pebble pro. Or I could possibly buy an Asus transformer that would give me 12-14hrs.
