    Hello all,

I am having to replace the keyboard on my samsung NP300E5a. It is not obvious how the item is removed and I have been unable to find a guide/video that shows this. Has anyone any experience doing this?

If this task proves beyond me, do samsung offer a service where I could send it in for repair?

    thx

    Hello Johnsam, welcome to NBR.

On Samsung Series 7 and 9 models (and Ativ Book 6, 7, 8, 9) the keyboard is part of a larger unit containing the surround and palm rest, making replacement a rather elaborate process.

Googling NP300E5a keyboard replacement gave several interesting hits (such as this on Amazon) which seems to indicate that the keyboard is separate on your model. That might make replacement easier.

You can buy downloadable service manuals (as well as parts) on Samsungparts.com.

Samsung has service centers (or partners) in many countries. But they obviously want a higher price than if you do it yourself.
