    NP300E5C is not charging, no light

    i woke up in the morning , I turned on the laptop and there was low battery , so I plugged it in and its not charging ! there is no light indicating that its charged and the battery icon on the task bar is not changing , please help

    Since the laptop otherwise works, my immediate guess would be the charger has died (cheap to replace) or the charging port has broken (which a repair shop can check and possibly fix).

    But of course first check try another power outlet...

    charger port was broken somehow, took it to the repair shop and now its working

    by the way , why does the laptop get really hot when its charging and not in use?

    Glad to hear you got it fixed. And thanks for posting the update here.

    Charging the battery is a chemical process which creates quite a bit of heat. That's why. It's not uncommon for smartphones to slow down during charging because the heat built-up causes the CPU to throttle.
