    Hello all.

Finally, I decided to test W10 on my NP300E5A. I made a boot USB from MS yesterday. I've replaced the HDD with an SSD and the CD with a caddy for storage. Fortunately, I decided to take out the SSD and try the installation on a 160gb HD.

Twice I've left the installation on "copying files" to come back to the screen blinking on-off. The HDD light shows intermittent activity, but there's no response whatsoever. The only thing that works is the power button (shuts down immediately), but after rebooting it's the blinking screen again. No use in trying to F8 into safe mode.

I gave up and replaced the SSD. But it still puzzles me that I won't be able to install W10 on it.

I've tried to upgrade a month ago, but after the huge download I got the message that it needed a full install because of incompatible programs.

    What could it be?

    Thanks.
