Both of the shift keys on my RV711 have stopped working. All of the other keyboard keys appear to be OK.

Has anyone had this problem? is it likely to be a hardware or software problem?

Thanks for any help or suggestions

It is unusual for both to stop working at the same time. Make sure that you haven't accidentally enabled something like Num-Lk.

Have you got access to an external USB keyboard that you can try? If shift on that doesn't work then it's software.

Alternatively, boot from a Linux Live CD for the same test.

Seems to be a hardware fault. With a USB keyboard connected both shift keys work. The same happens if I boot with Knoppix. Luckily I have an extended warranty so time to make a phone call.

    Thanks for the advice.
