    Hi,
    I wonder if anyone might be able to advise as to how big a deal the following problem is;
    My daughter has a 12 months old NC10. For the past few weeks she has been having problems charging it. It appears that she has been having to hold the charger physically into the machine to get it to charge or have it wedged against a wall to get a proper connection. She's only just told me about this because now she can't get it to charge no matter what she tries.
    I have another Samsung (R505) and have been able to establish that the problem isn't with the charger but instead with the machine itself. Occasionally the power light will briefly come on if you hold the power lead in, but basically it is unusable.
    Would anyone be able to say if this is fixable?

    Thanks,
    John.

    Yes it happens when the DC power jacks solder wore off or the circuitry's legs broke off. This occurs when you plug in the AC and it put too much movement on it causing the inside jack to go loose and eventually break. Its quite common.

    Im not sure for your exact model but its usually just needs to be resoldered or a new DC jack which usually looks like this

    See the service manual or repair shop if you dont know how to solder.
