    Hi all, first post!

I just got my series 7 a few days ago. Can't tell if I like it yet. How the hell do you guys cope with the space button?

Anyways, I am currently trying to configure a Ubuntu 11.10 dual boot. I previously installed it, got it running fine, and then updated some video drivers without thinking anything bad would happen.

Turns out, I guess either the Windows or machine doesn't like it. I ended up getting an unbootable box. I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to Linux, but I want to try again. Is there anything I can do in terms of the drivers to prevent it from happening again? Does 10.10 work better? How are others configuring their installs?

Not sure what you mean about the space bar - mine works perfectly. While other users have complained about clicks on the edges failing to register, I've never noticed the problem. I do tend to click near the middle of the bar though...

Can't help you with the Ubuntu issue, unforunately. I've never tried it on the S7.

That thread was pretty bare, but thanks. I'll x-post to there as well.

But mostly, I am kind of frustrated by how to get it working. I've tried now 3 times to install the wubi. Each time, the ATI drivers end up eating something up. So, now I'm not sure what to do. Don't think I'll return the laptop, but unless I can find a solution, I'll be thinking about it...
