I don't know if it's the resolution or not, but it's just low quality.
The colors are so-so and the viewing angles are absolute crap excuse the language.

I do like the laptop itself though, the build quality is superb, and the hardware is excellent. Probably one of my best purchases of all times.

What Samsungs have a significantly better screen with similar excellent aluminum structure ?

    Thanks :)

The 13.3" Series 9 has an excellent screen. However, you may cringe at the price.

While it is not possible to fix the viewing angles of the QX410 screen, you can probably adjust the settings in the graphics control panel in order to improve the colors and contrast. You can start by trying out Windows 7's display calibration tool (search for Calibrate) or you can manually tweak the settings in the graphics control panel. I have often found that a small change in gamma can improve the appearance.

Aha, so basically those Series 5 and Series 3 Samsungs that go for 600-800$ have about the same screen and the only difference would come out of the 1500$ 9 series ?
Let's take a look at the Nvidia driver and see how it works :)

All TN screens have limited viewing angles although some are worse than others. The 13.3" (but not 15") Series 9 has a PLS (Samsung's equivalent of IPS) panel with excellent viewing angles and better contrast.
