    Hi srjgrg, welcome to NBR.

It sounds like you may have changed the Boot Priority in BIOS to have the DVD drive on top. If you have a disc in the drive, maybe the system is stuck trying to boot that.

I would boot into BIOS settings (F2) and change the Boot Priority so that your hard drive is first on the list. Also while in there, eject the DVD in the drive (if there is one). On my model it's Fn-Delete to eject, but it may be different on yours.

Hopefully that will allow the system to boot.

I did change the boot priority and put SATA DRIVE as first but it still boots on STATA CD.

    OK, thanks.

Question: Did you change UEFI (or SecureBoot) settings in your BIOS? If the laptop was delivered with Win8 and you disabled UEFI, it could make your system unable to read the disk (because the disk is partitioned using the GPT standard which can only be read if UEFI is enabled). In that case I would suggest restoring the BIOS settings to default and see it that helps.

Otherwise, what the last thing that happened while the laptop was still working? Are you able to boot Recovery (F4)?

Sorry for the late reply i was busy with my work :)
No my laptop had windows 7 later when windows 8 came out i installed the pirated version, every thing was working well so far. I used windows 8 for like at least 6 months never had that kind of issue but suddenly it didn't boot and i went to bios setting then hit the default setting, since then my laptop boots on STATA CD. Yes I was able to boot to recovery and bios but now some how my bios doesn't recognize my password and says invalid and im not able to go to bios or recovery setting.

There seems to be something corrupted in the BIOS or CMOS. You can try the various reset options discussed in the bricking thread.
