I sent my laptop to get repaired because the charging port had worn away got it back Tuesday but the screen was no longer working so I took it back on Wednesday to get it sorted.

Apparently according to the technician there's a common fault with samsung laptops where if you repair the charging port the display can get messed up on the motherboard. As a result he says I will have to send my laptop off to samsung to get it sorted but because its a common fault samsung will just replace the laptop; to me this sounds dodgy so I was wondering if anyone had hasd a similar issue where the display was no longer functional after a related power repair.

    Ftr my laptop is/was a Series 7 S01UK Chronos.

I don't recall anyone else here reporting this problem.

I hope the technician was a Samsung authorised repairer.
