So I just ordered it because I saw there was only one left on Amazon. Now I'm having second thoughts. The lack of OpenGL support for many programs is a serious game-killer for me, as I use SolidWorks and modo quite a lot. I've been reading about flexing of the keyboard and general lack of build quality. I'm coming from a Lenovo y570 of two years ago and I'm a stickler for a laptop that doesn't flex or feel "cheap".

The order comes in from Amazon on Monday, and I have to make a choice; either open it and play with it and maybe get only 80% of my purchase price back, or just send it back and get another laptop. I like the power of this computer but if that power is hampered by bad drivers I really can't use it. I also couldn't afford the warranty, so the build quality has got me really concerned. Can I get some advice, please? :)

I got one of the last ones off Amazon this thanksgiving as well and I'm extremely happy with it. Does not feel cheap in ANY way...the build is way better than most windows laptops you will come across. There is no flex on the keyboard whatsoever, just a little on the right side of the trackpad...which is hardly noticeable, even when you are trying to squash it with your palms. It's is thin, light and very sleek. Personally, I think the build is way better than something of equivalent value (I was also looking at the vaio sa series when I made the purchase) and the horsepower puts it over the dell xps z series in terms of bang for buck. If those are your concerns,I would say you should think about giving it a shot.
However, I can't say for sure about your opengl applications. I do believe there's some fixes around, such as leshcat's AMD drivers, but you will have to do some more research on them. Since this is a fairly new laptop, it should have updates for better compatibility coming soon. Wouldn't bode well for samsung if they left a newborn biting the dust with opengl.

Well I just went to Best Buy to try out their model. I liked it, it felt solid, though it flexed more than I would have liked in some key areas, like the center of the keyboard, the numpad, the right side of the track pad, and especially the area right in front of the hinge. The hinge also seems to be less sturdy than other laptops I tried, like ASUS.

I also tested it with Minecraft, and yep, the OpenGL is borked; it ran so slow it hurt.

Still unsure as to whether or I'll keep it when I get it. I'm looking for other options atm.

If your heart's not in it, it's not. The opengl thing seems to be an unresolved issue for now, at least officially from samsung's side. For me, though, the form factor and the 6750m makes it worth it.

When I was trying to make a decision, I was also looking at the dell xps 15z (similar form factor, great build but has a weaker card...) and the 15" Acer Aspire Ethos (haven't seen this in person, but has a slightly better card, the 555m). Both are similar to the sammy, but more expensive in the better configurations.
