Need some technical help here ... I have just managed to downgrade the X360 to XP Pro (Disc came with it), got all the drivers of Samsung web site and installed. OK a few problems. When I look at the device manager I still get two things not working:

    1. Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus: Have tried and re-tried and even with the sound driver it cannot find this one ...

    2. Unknown Device: Don't you just love these ? What I am going to do with that one?

Also I may have a problem with an internal mic ... I thought maybe that was either because of number 1 or 2 here above ... please comment.

    Thanks, J.

Try collecting all available driver files in a single folder, double click on the items in the device manager with '!' on them and manually selecting the drivers folder you made. Hopefully it should sort the problem itself.

well I have all the files in zip format so do I put them in a single folder/map. It may not select an entire folder but will give it a try ... I also had an error where there was a sudden restart for absolutely no reason ...said computer recovered from serious error ...??

You can and should have it select the entire folder so it sorts out all the files within the folder.

The first driver to install needs to be the Intel chipset driver which opens the door for the other drivers to see the hardware properly.

If that doesn't work then check that you have got everything here and the software (ignore the AVStation premium). One of the software packages such as magic Keyboard may sort out the unknown device.

There used to be a problem that the XP installation didn't come with the HD audio module, but I thought that had been fixed.

    Download the video driver
Unzip/extract video driver files to a folder
    Go to device manager
Update driver for exclamation pointed High Definition Audio device in Device manager
Point to folder where you unpacked video driver to (there should be a subfolder called HDMI)
    Driver loads, you are done.

The missing device driver is part of the HDMI port video driver, hence High Definition Audio Bus.

    Hi,

    Have you tried the following:

    1. Click the attached file and press "Save" button. Then press 'Browse..." button and select the place where you want to save the selected file.

    2. After downloading the file, find the downloaded file and right_ click on the file. On pop_up menu select "Extract All..." option.

    3. On "Extraction Wizard", press "Next" button and press "Browse..." button. Select a folder to extract file and "press "Next" again.

    4. After the file has been successfully extracted, see the extracted files. Run "Setup.exe" file or "setup.exe" file in the folder.

I used these instructions (which are posted on the Samsung website) when I downloaded drivers needed to install a wired and wireless network as well as a driver for "sound". I hope these instructions are helpful. :)
