So I read online that the Samsung Series 9 900X3A-A03 had an internal wifi issue that made the wifi drop drastically if you were more than 15-20ft away from the router which would make me turn my back away from this amazing laptop. However, I read on Amazon that there is a simple fix for this.

I quote: "It comes set at maximum power saving. Theres' a lot of user feedback, which I can substantiate from my own experience, that this can cause wifi issues that can have users thinking that the old wifi issue hasn't been fixed. Bottom line? Change that setting to low power saving or maximum performance and everything's fine. I run on low power saving and can't tell any difference in power consumption.
    That's it. Enjoy! "

If this is true and this is really a legitimate fix than I would purchase this laptop tomorrow.

    Thank you in advance

*NOTE* The site says that the WIFI card is a 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0 HS , Gigabit Ethernet

If worst comes to worst, can I use a USB WIFI Adapter? If so, can someone recommend one that's preferably light and non-obtrusive yet amazing upload and download speeds.

Just found another comment on Newegg "TURN OFF THE "SAMSUNG POWER SAVER" feature and use windows "performance" or "balanced" feature. There's a bug in samsungs software that slows down the cycles for wifi causing you to have low wifi strength or losing your wi-fi signal."

Checks the specs to see if this model has the Intel 6300 WiFi. It improved the performance. Otherwise, as you have already discovered, setting the WiFi to maximum power helps to push the signal through.

There is no problem with using USB WiFi adapter. I bought this one (it has a nice big antenna) as backup for my X4C. However, on the only occasion (a hotel with thick walls) where the internal WiFi couldn't connect then that adapter wouldn't perform either.

Considering I ONLY use the internet for my laptop at home, I don't think I'll have trouble with the USB WiFi adapter. Thank you very much, John!

In addition, I think I'm pretty much sold on the laptop and will be purchasing it for $550

Instead of creating a new thread, can someone comment in depth on the durability and strength of the chassis and the performance of the keyboard?

I'm a typist and so a comfortable keyboard is essential for me.

Taking notes in class and web surfing and movie watching will be the primary use for the laptop.
