    Giving an Error

    It's a R580, and my husband keeps getting "loacl area connection does not have Valid IP address" he IS in Afghanistan, but the connection is there adn everyone elses laptops work. he WAS connected yesterday and now not today. we saw an issue w/a card inside Windows 7 having problems.... i'd really like to be able to talk to my husband online... Anyone know how to fix this problem?
    I'd appreciate it!

    The first thing I would do is to update the network (wireless I presume) driver. The R580 drivers are here but note that the R580 may use either an Atheros or Broadcom wireless adaptor. This can be found out by looking in Device Manager.

    Next I would look at, and disable if enabled, the IPv6 setting as discussed here.
