When I have the AC power plugged in, the games run at full speed but soon as I take off the AC and it's running on battery it drops down FPS and what not on every game I hve tried....why is this?

Sounds like it might be using the onboard graphics to save battery.

This model has no onboard graphics.

You have to change your power plans for your battery to run at maximum.
Goto 'power options' in your 'control panel' and click on change plan settings for each of your plans, edit these to your personal preferences.
NB... remember this laptop is classed as a desktop replacement so you wont be playing games for very long without the ac adapter plugged in. If you reach 30 mins without it id be surprised.
