Hi there, I've recently purchased e specific model mentioned above, & intend to install WinXP Professional onto it. A few qns though:

    1. I intend to perform a clean/fresh install(anyway I dun tink there's a 'true' upgrade possible frm Home edition to Pro edition). Will re-partitioning & formatting the HDD kill off all the customised Samsung applications/pre-installed drivers that Samsung has tweaked into the pre-installed Home edition?

    2. Though I shldn't be able to see the recovery partition in Windows environment, I'll be able to see the recovery partition in command prompt right? It shld show up as a small 3GB or so drive right? So watever I do, dun format off that partition?

    3. May I backup my Windows Activation for Home ed. via this method: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/kba...ctivation.html & restore it onto my freshly-installed WinXP Professional(since it's REALLY the EXACT SAME machine on which I'm re-installing Windows)? Or will I've to perform a NEW activation?

    4. Have read the AVS recovery manual & it emphasises that I must 'recover/restore' AVS before re-installing Windows, however, does it mean there'll be a step in the AVS recovery process whereby I'm able to delete partitions, format into NTFS, etc(exactly like the 1st few steps of a WinXP installation)?

thanx for entertaining my qns, esp. qn4. Thanx again.
