The fan in my laptop has been doing strange noise lately, and after about 1 month of this strange noice one day it just shut down and i couldn't restart it. I could turn it on only the next day. So i suppose that my fan is broken. My question:Is it possible to replace this fan? If yes, then where can i find a new one? or if you could tell me how it is called.
Thanks in advance for any information

After a time, the bearings on the fan will start to wear, and that was probably making the strange the noise. You should be able to get a replacement from Samsung, but they may charge alot of money. IF the notebook is still under warranty, then you could ask Samsung to repair it themselves.

It is also possible that the fan is getting clogged up with dust. The dust buildup can get thick enough to interfere with rotation. Try to give it a good clean using either a can or compressed air and/or a vacuum cleaner with a nozzle.

Actually i did try to clean it with compressed air, but nothing changed i think it has just won out
Can you guys tell me how to find out the model of this cooler, cause i tried to search for it in internet and couldn;t find it.
Also abt the warranty, i bought it in another country, and as i know if you buy it in another country then the warranty doesn;t spread internationally for samsung -

I would suggest that you contact Samsung in your country and ask them for the details of companies who stock Samsung parts and service Samsung computers. You can then contact one of the service providers. In UK I have found ServiceSource to be responsive to email enquiries.
It is also likely that the fan is not Samsung-specific and is a standard component. If you can get make, model, photograph etc, then you may be able to find a suitable replacement as a standard computer part.
