Hello!
I just bought a Samsung ATIV 9 Plus with Windows 8.1 (running Windows 10 currently), and am having a difficult time figuring out how to disable a particular feature.
The issue has to do when I double-tap on the touchpad to move/drag an object, eg an icon on the desktop. After I release both fingers from the touchpad, the object is still "stuck" to the cursor for about a second before it actually releases, and in this time period using the touchpad (with one finger) moves said object. I'm finding this to be exceedingly annoying -- when I drag the vertical scroll bar on a web page, I have to wait before touching the mouse again otherwise it will move the scroll when I did not intend to. This behavior happens on both on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
I've done research on this as well as toggled every option I could find that is relevant to this to no avail. I'm also not sure if this issue is Windows 8.1/10 related, or Samsung related.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks!!

If this notebook has the Elan touchpad then our accumulated knowledge is in this thread.
Note that the installation package contains two control panels for the touchpad. The more advanced one may provide the option you are wanting.
