    Your classification is broadly correct.

    The penultimate character in the model number is an indicator of screen size. 7 = 17", 5 = 15.6" and 3 = 13". However, 4 may be 14" or it may be 15.0" (which Samsung claim that due to narrow display bezels means the computer is the size of other 14" models).

    PC makers always come up with idiotic naming conventions to confuse consumers. If one thing Apple got it correctly, it's the naming.

    Air means light and thin.

    Pro means performance oriented.
