    Chronos 7 Power Adapter

    Hi folks - looking to purchase a second power adapter for my new Samsung Chronos 7. The original part number for the adapter is A10-090P1A and I know the specs just fine. I found the following which has identical specs:

    There is, however, no mention of the dimensions of the tip and I haven't been able to figure out whether the stock adapter for the NP-700 series is the same power adapter for the NP-780 series. Any help finding a compatible second power adapter would be much appreciated!

    I didn't understand exactly which laptop model you have. The NP700 series literally has hundreds of models and submodels. And the NP780 series has quite a few as well.

    If it's a 15.6 inch 2013 Series 7 (NP770/780/880 Z5E), you may want to check the Owners Lounge for that model series. pranktank and a few other members have discussed their experiences with 3rd party power adapters there, including discussion about tips. It's a big thread, start reading here and here. Or just use the Search Thread feature if those discussions don't cover what you are looking for.

    If it's a 15.6 inch 2012 Series 7 (NP700Z5C) you may be able to find some discussion in that model's Owners Lounge. I don't remember if it's there (I am getting older :eek: ) so you'll have to search.

    And for any of the other Series 7 Chronos models (including 2011 models, 14 inch, 15 inch and 17.3 inch models) I suggest you simply Google site:notebookreview.com/samsung Series 7 power adapter tip. I just tried that myself, and a number of promising hits showed up.

    In any case do I think you'll have a better chance of getting a response if you post in one of those Owners Lounge threads. Wait till tomorrow, though, so you don't cross post. Maybe something shows up here in the meantime.

    Thanks - I have the Chronos 7 2013 model - NP780Z5E. I will wait until tomorrow and see if anyone else replies. I'd be fine buying another original, rather than OEM, power adapter if I could find one in Canada.
