I know this sounds a little weird but I have so many power adapters laying around I cannot tell which one is for my nc10 (I rarely use it and the battery last forever).

The adapter that I believe is for the nc10 doesn't say samsung and looks pretty generic (I think it's made by safety mark model adp-40mh ab).

I just want to be sure it's the right one because I was charging the laptop with it and the adapter was getting pretty hot.

    Thanks.

That's the right PSU. It should also say Type AD-4019.

The rating is 40W (19V, 2.1A). If you are running the NC10 and recharging the battery then the PSU is probably running at close to full load. And, being a relatively small lump of plastic, there isn't much surface area to dissipate the heat.
