Hey guys just need some help with something, i really dont know how it happeend i was studying and i looked at the keyboard and saw that the L button had come off, not sure if the text book hit it or what, i tried to push the button back in but it wouldnt fit back, took it out and saw that one of the clips was broken, ive got on clip still on the laptop but the other is broken to bits.

Its a samsung R710, its still under warranty but im not sure if they would fix it due to it not being a problem when first bought. Is there anywhere i can buy the bracket or buy 1 key which contains bracket?

    Thanks for the help guys

It's difficult to buy spare keys, particularly for a new model, but a key from on older (eg R700 keyboard) may fit.

Since you have no recollection of any event which could have caused the damage then it is possible that there was a defect in the key when you bought the computer. Notebook keyboards are designed to withstand a hard life and they are difficult to physically break. Samsung support like to believe their products are never defective, but may have difficulty proving that a broken key is not a manufacturing defect.
