So I managed to brick my Samsung laptop, NP700Z7C-S01US, by enabling UEFI in the bios. Here is a post about the problem. I have been looking for a solution to the problem for the last week and have come across nothing.

When I turn it on it will show the Samsung screen with F2 to enter the bios, but then it reboots, shows the Samsung screen and then displays the boot/app menu with no options under each menu.

If I press F2 nothing will happen. I have tried all other function keys as well as ESC and DEL still does nothing.

I have tried booting off a usb with Ubuntu, Windows 7 (The original OS on the laptop), and other linux distros. Nothing has worked.

I detached the battery as well as the motherboard battery and still nothing changes.

Samsung support was no help. I tried searching for a cmos jumper but I could not find anything online about this motherboard, BA92-10497A.

On the motherboard there is a label BIOS. Would any of these be a cmos jumper if I connected them? imgur: the simple image sharer

    Hi Sean, welcome to NBR.

Study this thread carefully. There is a guide in post #7, but you really want to study the entire thread (and any links within it) so you understand the process.
