    Hello everybody,
I have a Series 7 Chronos (the one with the Radeon 6490, best buy model) now I want to change it for another Samsung. Here in Peru I've found 15.6" ATIV Book 6 1TB HDD NP680Z5E the most important features for me are the CPU, Video graphics card and screen, this model has an Intel I7 3230, a Radeon 8850 and 15.6" HD LED Display (1366 x 768) with Touch Screen Panel. I will be traveling to the US for Black Friday 2013 and I've want to know if I should wait for the Best Buy model (the one with the Radeon 8770, and the only Ativ Book 8 or series 7 Chronos available in the US) or go for the Ativ Book 6 here in Peru. The main use for this laptop is work and gaming, I've mostly use it for work but my main interest is it's gaming capabilities :D .

I hope you guys can give me some advice about this, thanks in advance

Thanks John, but I'll guess that the Radeon 8850 with 2GB (the Ativ 6 sold in Peru) is better than the Ativ 6 (comes with the Radeon 8770 with 1 GB) that is discussed in that thread, also I'm planning to play with this laptop connected to a full HD TV, despite the 1366 x 768 resolution, it could upscale to 1920 x 1080 when plugged in to the TV, right?

That should not be a problem. See the thread linked below for more discussion on how to make sure you get the full resolution of the external display.

As John pointed, 1366 x 768 really is a VERY low resolution on a 15.6 inch display. Just saying...

Thanks Dannemand, as you said 1366 x 768 is a really low resolution, the Chronos 7 series that I have right now has 1600x900 and for work it's good. Seems that I should wait for my trip and buy the Ativ Book 8, as it has a better resolution (but a lower spec graphic card). Does anyone know if I can buy the Ativ Book with the Radeon 8870 and have it send it to the US??
