The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

I post this sticky here for those who watch the Samsung forum only and may not have seen Charles' announcement.

Make sure to save any guides or other information that you want to preserve before the lights go out.

I have found many friends in my 10 years at NBR, had many great discussions, and learned countless things. Particularly here in the Samsung forum. Thank you all for that. That's what I will remember from my time at NBR :)

Sad today. Even when I wasn't posting here often, I'd still lurk here every day and follow news and discussions from everyone else.

Hopefully we can all find a way for the community to stay together

All very sad and my worry is that all the accrued wisdom that will be lost. This site is usually at or near the top of Google results when people are searching for a solution for a notebook problem particularly for those brands with less good manufacturer support (eg Samsung).

I'm going to have to look through my old posts and try to save some of those threads. There's too much important material to just have it disappear.
