I have had a look at the forums and it was recommended that if you do a fresh install, you should use the recovery disk to install AVStation Now first, BEFORE installing Vista/XP.

If I don't have the recovery disk for AVStation Now (since Samsung again didn't provide me with this), could I install Vista first and then use the AVStation Now downloaded from Samsung website? Would AVStation still work as per initial installation (i.e. i don't need to turn on OS to use the AV functions of the laptop)?

Many thanks for everyone's help! :)

I don't know the answer but, to be honest, AVStation Now isn't worth installing. The Vista version boots into a limited version of Vista while the XP version has a very crude interface.

Thanks John, I just tried the AVStation Now and you are right - it just boots into Vista and does a full screen shot of the program.

The funny thing is, if you have anything that starts up, you will see that! Not exactly a program which bypasses the Vista OS...

    Thanks again John!
