I have just realized, that AV Station Premium is unable to play back MP3s with higher bitrate (not sure about the limit, but it is definitely unable to play back 192kbps), and VBR files. To make thing worse, the information given is completely misleading, it reports such files as missing (file can not be foud).

I was unable to find a support site for AV Station where updates might be available. Can anyone confirm this behaviour or point me to the support site? Thank you.

PS: Not that I would use AV Station at all, foobar2000 is much better for music, but I have to admit, that the interface of AV Station is perfectly optimized for the remote-control bundled with my X60, so it is convenient, if I don't want to sit in front of the laptop.

If you want an updated AV Station, contact the Samsung support. They will ship you a CD with a manual for updating (it's a bit complicated) for free.

I have heard many times since I have my X20 that the AVStation has various problems, so I don't take it as a serious software any more. A fast and little Linux like MoviX or GeeXboX supports more media and codecs and is well functioning.

I have contacted the support, and this was their reply:
Now to comply with their request I started to collect info about playable and unplayable files.
Guess what! AVStation refuses to play back MP3 files where the COPYRIGHT flag is present!!! If you clear this flag, there is absolutely no error.

The annoying part is that AVStation Premium (the Media library) silently refuses to play back the file, without any error message.
The Full screen version of it, however, tells you, that the file can not be found (may have been deleted), and asks me, whether I would like to remove the file from the library. Outrageous!!!
