Zoom in/out is jerky sometimes. Scrolling isn't smooth.

The touchscreen doesn't react smoothly to gestures at all.

What could be the problem and how can I fix it? I have all the latest software updates.

I did replace the harddrive with a Crucial M500 msata. Could that be it?

How up-to-date is your touchpad driver? I wouldn't expect a different SSD to affect the touchpad performance but did you clone or reinstall Windows?

The touchpad driver offered by SW Update for the Series 7 is relatively old compared to what is now available the new Samsungs. You can get these using the Find Model function in SW Update.

If you are already using a 2014 version of the touchpad driver then you can try raising the priority of the ETD processes.

Are you saying I should download another laptops touchpad driver, say the new Samsung ATIV 9 NP940X3G-K01US and install it manually into my laptop?

And you understand it's my touchscreen that has the problem, not touchpad although the pad isn't fantastic either.

    Thanks.

My mistake: I read it as touchpad since a few people have had similar problems.

I don't know where the drivers for the touchscreen are hidden away. They might be in the touchpad package or the Settings package.

However, I think it would be worthwhile looking through the NP940X3G collection and trying what you find there.
