    Good afternoon,

    My other half has a Samsung laptop, I took the model information from the Belarc Advisor;

    SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD. 370R4E/370R4V/370R5E/3570RE/370R5V P03RAN

    Since updating to 8.1 the screen on her laptop is dim, now I have tried to update the intel driver and it stayed the same, I also changed the driver to the basic one and still the screen is dim so I have no idea how to fix it.

    If any body is able to help we would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks,

    FPA

    Does Fn+F2, Fn+F3 vary the display brightness or is it stuck on dim?

    Does the brightness control in Settings (Fn+F1) work?

    Also check if the BIOS is up-to-date using the BIOS Update program.
