Is it possible to disable USB power while the Laptop is in sleep mode?

Other laptops I support disable the usb port when in standby/sleep (s3)

I know this is possible when using hibernation.

All usb connected devices (Hard disks, etc) remain powered while in sleep mode on my client's p775dm3-g laptop.

Is the prema BIOS to required to facilitate this?

The default bios is neutered and doesn't have any options relating to USB.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

I don't believe it's an option in the standard BIOS that is unlocked, no.
