I recently came across a thread titled "Clevo p157em ;)" that spoke of replacing the np9150's HM65 chip and soldering a HM67. This would allow using the BIOS from the np9170. This thread is closed but I would like to call upon bonnie.clyde, Meaker, extide, or anyone else familiar with this upgrade to answer the following questions:

    1. Does this upgrade allow SATA 3 speeds in the msata and optical drive bays?
    2. Will the most current Prema BIOS be best? Or will a standard np9170 BIOS work better?

The thread in question offers some talk of this upgrade enabling XTU in the np9150 but I have the 3920 processor already and throttlestop seems to work just fine. I would be very interested in performing this upgrade for the SATA 3 boost to all drive bays. I'm just not clear on all the benefits of this mod. Please let me know if there are other benefits. I'm no stranger to soldering and I have a wonderful 330w brick to power my np9150 so I should be fine going through with the mod.
