I bought this laptop from Xotic PC (big props to them, great company).

Although I am afraid I had to return it for many non-performance related issues.

    Things I loved:
    -Keyboard backlights, awesome
-Display, best I have ever seen on a laptop
-Performance, played sc2/d3/bf all great even with out latest drivers

    Things I hated:
-Some keys on the keyboard only registered if you hit them 100% in the middle, this made typing very troublesome
-The corners of the laptop can be painful depending on where you put your forearms. I was actually wearing away the skin on my arms from using this laptop. This was the reason why I had to return, there was simply no way for me to get around this.

    Other things to note:
-Great amount of ports and locations for ports
    -Great looking design/felt very solid
-Key that worked responded very well
-Battery life to be expected on this type of laptop
-Xotic PC is a great company to deal with and will definitely get my business in the future.

For those interested I had the base I7 IB, and the 670m. Also had the upgraded screen with 95% matte.

Agree with this. It irritates the bottom of my palm while using the touch pad. Anyone brave enough to get some fine grit sandpaper to smooth the front edge on this thing?

I thought about this, but I didn't want to risk ruining my brand new $1400 laptop.

I've been seeing some QA issues with all these reviews in relation to the keyboard... I hope Sager isn't rushing through these orders and compromising on QA... I hope my 9130 will be fine, but this is certainly concerning.

(mine's in Portland Oregon today... hope it'll get to Seattle, WA and delivered by tomorrow!)

Appreciate the review! I am in the market for a new laptop to replace my 2006/7 Macbook Pro and since this laptop is my top contender it's great to read about how these latest batches are turning out for people. I have read a few posts about the keyboard issues =/ I hope it's not a widespread problem. Was this the stock keyboard?

This is also the first I have read about the corners of the laptop being an issue so that's good to know.

I think there is a SteelSeries keyboard that will fit, perhaps it will work better than the stock if it doesn't suit your needs. It does suck that you'd have to swap out a keyboard though.

Agreed. My current laptop's keyboard and trackpad are amazing (pre-unibody macbook pro, multitouch style). I'd hate to have a keyboard that didn't work 100% of the time.
