Hey all I just got my dm a few days ago and just as the title said, I cant seem to boot my trusty hirens or windows 7 at start up. Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 versions boot fine but something is preventing win7 and hirens from loading. Its the first time I ever had an issue booting windows 7 or hirens. Tried using an external drive but no gains with that either any one have this issue and if so any solutions?

What are your bios settings? Are you booting UEFI for all of them or legacy mode for all of them?

    My settings are:
    secure boot disabled
    UEFI enabled
boot priority = 1. UEFI partition (first), 2. windows boot manager (second).
There are no options for legacy mode in the bios (F2) screen upon start up options.

I had to burn the ISOs to DVDs to install. Otherwise I would get odd boot behaviour, such as the window install completing then failing on re-boot.

There is certainly odd behavior when trying to install it from bootable thumb drives. Even tried dos cmd mode by splitting the partition and tried to install windows manually but it just wont allow it. Its strange how easy windows 8 and later installs with either booting method but not for windows 7 or my hirens usb. I even split the partition and tried to install windows 7 on a separate drive, and it didn't work either on all other machines hirens loads right up from from boot menu. When I get some time I'll call up sager support. I will follow up on this and post it here.

Thanks, I didn't know skylake removed that and here I thought it might have been a bios issue. When I get some free time I'll try some of the advice from those links and report back.
