    Also curious to see if cooling has changed.

    Availability: Late October-Early November.

    We will get the temps reported as soon as we receive them. In the mean time, to get in line, because at the beginning the supplies will be very limited, you might consider placing a Pre-Order. You can cancel if you don't like what you see once the temps are reported.

    Yes, it has.

    Keep in mind that Clevo has to make it right for all of their dealers that DON'T delid and undervolt by default as HIDevolution.com does. We will just take what they provide, and make it better.

    Welcome back 6+ cores to DTR industry since the P570WM, I was waiting and asking for that for almost 3 years. I have to go to check the prices.
    Any pictures from inside, hope that it has enhanced cooling solution.

    Nice review @Phoenix, hope that you come back to Clevo team soon, we are really missing you.

    @Phoenix

    I see they're still using the same keyboard with the really small right side shift key.

    If it wasn't for that maybe I would be more forgiving for the keyboard.

    Edit: might be less of an issue to those who type with less than 8 fingers + space thumb.

    Looks like different shape, probably wouldn't fit the chassis for CPU heatsink. But that's only my speculation.

    Maybe the GPU heatsink will fit, looks like a more convenient option for those who often mess with the laptop internals. Shame that the GPU heatsink fins inherit the smaller profile of the KM1 VC instead of the beefier DM3 VC.

    Even if it is, I find it hard to believe that the tiny little fin stack on top of the pipes is going to do much for temps... with a skinny fourth fan or not. I could be wrong, and it will be good if I am wrong. It looks kind of chintzy to me in the photos. Looks more like an after-thought home-brewed mod or something, rather than a meticulously engineered product enhancement. But, sometimes chintzy looking home-brewed mods are very effective, so I will reserve my opinion until we have some results to look at. Proof will be in the pudding.

    There is a huge air space for fan pressure to leak on the KM1. The fans are like 5mm taller than the heat sink radiators. Let me see if I can find the picture I posted before. Not good.

    The DM3 fin array is taller and soldered to a metal brace on the top, slightly making heat distribution more even.

    The KM1 fin array is shorter and doesn't have the reinforcing brace.

    Maybe the vapor chamber is more effective than it used to be. Based on looks alone, it will not be good enough. But, looks can be deceiving, so I say wait until the fat lady sings. If she sings badly, we can brutally berate her incompetence in the forum, LOL.

    Why couldn't Clevo use the cover over HS grills for GPU's in KM1?

    Good question. Probably to save a couple of bucks. It's kind of sad because their biggest fans are the opposite. We are willing to pay for excellence and despise cheap junk. They must not be paying attention. Oh, wait... none of them pay attention. I guess we can't blame Clevo for acting like their competitors. It would be unfair to hold them to a higher standard. Right? (No, I didn't think so either.)

    Use a bit higher HS grills than use the cover would increase the cooling for the old models. Would help on KM1 also.

    @Mr. Fox

    My MSI GT73VR Titan Pro's cooling is far more superior than Clevo's flaships...... they have very good heatsinks with a perfect fit, no luck of the draw like with Clevo

    Mine fit fine now. No problems of any kind now. MSI laptops won't bench at 5.2GHz and good fitting heat sinks are not something I would view as an acceptable trade off for settling for BGA. I'd rather take my chances with the heat sinks not fitting well and having to address that because there is nothing I can do to fix the BGA defect.

    The heat sinks in my MSI fit well, but they struggle to keep things cool with the way I overclock that little monster. MSI does not build their laptops with the thought that owners might be pushing them as hard as I push mine. MSI also had Clevo beat on the firmware cancer defect. Never have seen gimping that bad before. It was pretty disgusting, and it cannot be fixed 100% like Clevo. It still have some power limit gimping holding it back.

    I'm pretty sure neither Clevo nor MSI (nor any other notebook OEM) give a rat's ass what people like me value, which is why I do not intend to buy another laptop in the future. I'm about 99% sure I've had enough of the hokey games they are playing with cancer firmware and shoddy engineering. Enough is enough. Tired of correcting their mistakes. After I finish the 1080 mod for the DM-G I am really tempted to sell all three of them and use the money to build a desktop. That's what I intended to do last time and made a last minute decision to go with the DM3. I still love the DM3. Best laptop I have ever owned and the most powerful ever made, but I'd still rather have a desktop at this point so I can push it harder than I can push the DM3, only with 400% more cores and threads.

    Based on my experience with MSI, I do not plan on including anything made by them in the desktop build. MSI build quality is really excellent, but that is not enough.
