Looks like $1667 with an 8970m through xotic. Add dual 780ms for $850. Comes out to a couple hundred $ more pricey than the p370em was with dual 680ms. I'm torn... I don't really like the new design to pay that premium.

Heck with it: just preordered a nicely-spec'ed P375SM. ETA is "mid-June", but we'll see. I was really looking at the new GT750 with a 780m, but considering Asus seriously overpriced this model and the P375SM with dual 780ms costs about the same...

    Really hoping:

-Cooling is somewhat better than the P370SM models
-The keyboard is better than what was on PxxEM models
-The new design is somewhat attractive
-I can turn off the chintzy back and mousepad LEDs

    It is.
    Same keyboard.
    I think it is.
You can turn off the LEDs but the mid keyboard and touchpad are linked IIRC.

The 375 is the "bling" edition with more lights backlit parts and a trackpad with discreet buttons, while the P370SM is the exact same design as the P370EM so a single clickpad and just a backlit keyboard

OMG THUNDERBOLT !!! Finally from Clevo! Alienware doesn't have that in latest model, Clevo has an edge now.

From Clevo website specs, it seems that P375SM is much heavier and thicker than P370SM.

How many of the sata ports can be raided together? Can I raid the msata with the regular sata? Can the optical drive bay be a raid member? Might stuff my soon to be laptop with a ton of ssd's if all the ports work on the same raid(which I highly doubt).

I wanna get one of these soon, like today or tonight.

Does anyone know if they are already out and the only waiting time is shipping? On xoticpc I keep seeing "ETA: Mid-June" and well... the 14th is mid right?

    **********************

Ok, so I did some research,

XoticPC said that they don't have the Sager models in yet, they are expecting them in "late June" no specific date.

AVADirect said they have the models but require 5 day processing time before shipping.

I really wish I could just pick one up today or this weekend...

We're still waiting for stock "2nd half of June" is the best date we have at this time from Sager for the NP9390 but it appears the NP9390-S is availalbe. It comes with 2x 765M in SLI by default.

Well that's sad if true, Roland told me on Friday that the np9390-s was not in stock. He said he had to double check because he thought it might have been.

Sucks because I've already purchased a msi laptop from another seller.

What's the difference between the NP9390 and the NP9390-S? I thought the "S" version is the NP9390 just with more RAM, a 256GB SSD and dual 765ms by default?

Just like their is no real difference between the NP8250 and the NP8250 - S, it is only a special price configuration that make the one a Special Edition.

The same is with the NP9390 and the NP9390-S. The S model is just a special configuration. For those getting a well configured laptop it will usually save you some money to go with the S version or Special Edition model... :)

Prostar has a nice demo video up of the P375SM: Prostar Clevo P375SM Gaming Laptop - YouTube

This has confirmed the first two things I will be doing when I get mine (hopefully this week):

    a) Tear out the connector to the touchpad LED like it's a malignent tumor
    b) Disable flashing audio-synched LED at the back of the keyboard

Man, those two "features" look so bad, like a cheezy cheapo car stereo interface from 1998. A shame because the actuall design of the chassis is rather good, like a bigger Asus G75.

Surprisingly the back red LEDs look pretty neat, but wish they would have been done in blue (unless you can change the color here too...?)

I'd upgrade the Wireless for sure if you're planning on being on wireless at all. Default cards typically have reports of dropped signals that can get quite annoying if you're relying on it. IC Diamond isn't a bad touch if you aren't able to do yourself when the machine arrives. 16gb of RAM could be too much depending on your usage. 8gb is good for gaming right now, could save money now and upgrade down the road when it's more necessary. Should about equal out to the same cost!

Just watched your video above and love the look and overall design...I can't decide between this or the MSI GT70

Question; Can you run this thing without the battery inside? Less weight? I've been without a battery for a good 2 years when it died and they wouldn't replace it so kind of used to not having one in the system.

I also read comments regarding the sound quality not that great, should I be concerned?

Yes you can just plug it in and not have the battery in there. If you're trying to save weight to carry it around easier you'll just want to make sure you will always have access to a power outlet though as you'll need one or the other.
The sound quality isnt great, average laptop sounds. If you're comparing it to MSI they will have the better sound quality with the Dyna Audio they use.

Got my "shipped" notice this morning :)

As a side note/question, who actually is going to use the built-in speakers on this? After owning about 15 gaming laptop models, I think I've used the internal speakers maybe five times, and definitely never for gaming -- and would never expect any kind of quality sound from 1" speakers and "subwoofer". I keep seeing people complain about the sound on their laptop (Sager/Clevo and others) and am honestly curious why they can't use quality headphones?

Whooo! Now for the toughest part. Knowing it's done but not having it in your hands.

Why are you getting a p375sm if you're only going single GPU? To upgrade to SLI later? If not, you may consider the p170sm/p177sm.

Wouldn't it make sense to purchase a 120hz version of this laptop so the display can take full advantage of the laptop's high framerates? Especially in SLI? Correct me if I'm wrong, thanks

Aren't all versions of this laptop 120hz? why would they only offer 60hz screens if you put a 780m SLI in there? You will easily get over 60fps in most, if not all games...

I also have a few questions..
    1. is this 120hz, if not, what option do i check to make it 120hz (the screen)
    2. is the battery AC Adapter 330 watts - enough to power up 2 AMD 8970m's? Or is it a bottleneck?
    3. More of a comment....I'm so sad that I'll barley use that beautiful touchpad since I have to get a mouse to game...so i might as well use my mouse for everything...

I mean, I seriously doubt that the AC Adapter's 330 watts isn't enough, but you never know....It is right?

That's what I'm saying, but I believe this laptop is only 60hz. The model before it NP9370 had a120hz display, doesn't make sense to go back to 60... I'm guessing the NP9390 will release a 120hz version down the road. Might as well wait for it since displays aren't so upgradeable.

You might go with a i7-4800MQ. If you're shelling out that much, an extra $100 for a little more CPU juice will aid your crossfire.
