It powered up and then shutdown. Didn't get to the EVOC logo. I did not do a any investigation because I needed to get some work done and having OC turned on is not needed. Maybe I can look at it more over the weekend.

Remove the ram under the keyboard and try again. I had the same problem with one of the first XMG bios and my 4 ram module configuration.

I think it does that when you switch OC on and OFF and vice versa. I could be wrong though

They fit great on the 3 m.2 slots but for the pcie Gen 4 slot I had to dremel out some plastic underneath and the bottom cover fit perfect after that.

Interesting. I installed it on the Gen 4 slot and did not have to do anything. As I said, it is a little tight but not to the point that I had to remove plastic. Removing the rubber bands would relieve that tightness.

I get at least a 10C drop in temp

If you jam a heatsink right up to the plastic it will struggle to help cooling and just provide thermal mass.

The metal corrugated/holed bottom plate pretty much covers the other 80% of it if you don't dremel some plastic bottom to make it a perfect fit. If I knew how to attach pictures I would!

I may have also used a 1mm thermal pad instead of a .5mm. Didn't bother trying a thinner one. This was on a Samsung 980 Pro.

Question, does the Obsidian pc fan control software have full fan support for this model Clevo? I sent them an email yesterday and they have not responded yet. Before I drop some $$ I want to know it will function fully. I installed the software and right now it only has Max Speed and EC Automatic.

A month since updating bios (1.7.6), one crash and that was 2 weeks ago. Please don't be a jinx. Please don't be a jinx. Please don't be a jinx...

I still don't trust it when it reports a check sum error, or chase new bugs unless they're confirmed on my old machine.

The good news is we are not alone with this issue seems this system is unstable. I curious is the Prema Bios fell behind because of covid and Clevo wasnt prepared to have a bios because this instability us little crazy. I have never built/bought a system with this amount of instabilty

Did you have a couple of typos there? I'd skip this machine if I were Prema. Pretty sure I'll upgrade ahead of schedule when all the post-Covid dust settles, and Intel gets their act back together.

The extended lead time and no word on Prema BIOS on a system that is entering EOL is not a good sign. I don't think Prema would deliver a shoddy product and if the system itself has problems or limitations he can't overcome I'm not sure what's going on.

What have HID and other Prema shops said when asking what is going on and any type of ETA?

It works. I keep up with this thread and tried Obsidian after reading your post. Works as advertised. I primarily play Warzone. Power slider set to high fans are now bearable adding 25 fps on average. Power set to minimum fans are a soft breeze. When using for office apps I am able to turn the fans below 25% which takes away all fan noise completely.

Yesterday I used the computer without any problems, and I turned it off regularly.

Today I turn on the computer and the processor (i9 11900k) is blocked on the minimum operating frequency (0.77 Ghz, 99.76 Mhz x 8.0, minimum multiplier), in fact the start is very slow, and even the opening of any window under windows is very slow.

It is useless to modify the profile in the Control Center, whatever profile I choose, the frequency is always constant 0.77Ghz.

    What could have happened?

I turned off the power several times, and every time I turned off the computer the power led did not go from green to orange, but turned off completely.

After many attempts, it appears to be working.

So is it a bug of the latest bios? Could putting back the previous version (1.07.06) fix the problem?

    Bios 1.07.07, OC always disable.

I add to my previous post, the battery is not being recharged (it appears "in charge" for about a second and then disappears "in charge" and is not charged)

If I turn off the computer, the power led turns off completely (instead of turning orange), and it is no longer possible to turn on the computer.
So I have to completely disconnect the computer and when I turn it back on, the power LED turns orange and I can turn on the computer.

Its more of a Software bug then an EC firmware bug, as the LED controls are in the EC firmware rather then BIOS firmware.

I think it is the fault of the power supply.

One power supply of the two always remains cold.

Even if I swap the connection of the two power supplies, the same power supply always remains cold.

Instead, for the operation at low frequency (about 800 Mhz constant), perhaps it is the fault of the BIOS (as @crossshot wrote), because it is enough to disconnect the power supply and re-power the computer, and it works at a more or less normal frequency. However, even when the Control Center is set to "performance", a consistently high frequency is not maintained as in the past, but the frequency fluctuates between 1.7-3.0 Ghz.

Is it possible to switch to the previous version of the bios on this computer without problems? Or is the downgrade not allowed or could it cause problems?

I currently have BIOS v1.07.07 and EC v1.07.04

    Yes, 1.07.04

I don’t think it’s a bios issue honestly seems more like a faulty power brick

I have done some tests and it seems that a power supply is broken. I unplug a power supply (the presumably broken one) and the computer doesn't even notice it. If, on the other hand, I unplug the other power supply (the presumably healthy one) the computer turns off (obviously without using the battery).
Considering that a power supply is always cold, it makes me think it is broken.

However I have read that if you use only one power supply it is not possible to charge the battery (and in my case this happens) and the computer works with decreased performance similar to battery use. But sometimes, it works with even slower performance, with clock locked at 800 Mhz, while in battery use it is slightly faster (around 1500-2500 Mhz). And when this happens, just shut down the computer and it goes back to normal (normal which in my case is 1500-2500 Mhz due to the non-working power supply).

So I think there are two problems.
The first is that sometimes the computer works with stuck performance at 800 Mhz (and maximum temperatures of 35 ° C), the second problem is a broken power supply.
When I turn the computer off and on again I overcome the first problem (clock shot at 800 Mhz), but the computer works with reduced performance (1500-2500 Mhz) due to the second problem, broken power supply.
I try to find another power supply and will try to use that one
