So... Any hints on when this is going to be available? I'm ready to throw my money at the first reseller that has it. :D.

Updated OP with details we know, or at least think we know. Also any ideas what the Sager nomenclature will be? NP230ST? Or NP6130? ?

I'd place performance around 670mx in shader bound titles and a bit below for rop/memory bandwidth bound situations.

I have been looking at this for quite a while and looking at my W110ER I currently use for EVERYTHING. I do not think I will be switching, I don't see any "wow factor" for this machine as I would have hoped too, YET. I don't see any thunderbolt, I don't see display port, I agree that it'll only have 2 Ram Slots, the GPU isn't going to be much of a jump up and what about a touch screen?. (why would they want to sell a 1k laptop with a powerful GPU?? they don't want it cutting into the sales of the larger more expensive laptops!) I think I will pass unless more than 2 of my WOW factors have been met.. IMO! Can't wait to see everyone's review on the machine, though.

This is actually meeting a demand that nobody has filled yet. A powerful, yet compact laptop. HDMI is still universal and thunderbolt hasn't been adopted in many peripherals and not sure that it will. It's not meant to break out from the standard. If there were already a half dozen similar models out there then I could see the concern. But this is the one and only.

And touch screen? I'd gather 95% of users wouldn't want a touchscreen on their laptop. It's not a convertible or tablet.

I totally agree with you, it's something they are doing again to break away from the pack and it is a risk that they are taking, again, because it worked out so well with the W110ER. I am just being a giant pain in the butt....

What I don't understand is that the W110ER was so successful why they don't offer an updated 11.6" as well. Put in a 750m, Haswell, and be done with it. Same chassis, same cooling, and run with it.

Just add thunderbolt please.. I know thunderbolt has slow adoption rates but having external PCI Express slots would be absolutely amazing! Having a good sound card, capture card, extra GPU all in a magma enclosure on my desk.. next to my 11 inch laptop.. dreammmmm!

Great, now I'm confused on which thread to watch for any news concerning this amazing device!

Any reason why they keep giving us USB 2.0 ports at this day and age? Since we have backwards compatibility it seems silly...

Oh well, they'll sort it in the broadwell refresh

Nobody knows. We'd all only be guessing at this point. But the base version will be pretty well stocked if 1080p is standard, except for maybe adding an SSD instead of or to complement the HDD. Since only quad cores are going to be available at launch that means i7-4800MQ as stock CPU, GTX 765m GPU, probably 8GB RAM, 500GB or 750GB HDD, 1080p screen. Possible upgrade of matte or glossy screen and would be nice to see a quality IPS screen upgrade. I'd pay an extra $150 for that.

Is there any clevo laptop asides from the P150em that has backlit keys?
I don't think the 230 will be any different from any other laptop in that sense.

My worry with backlit keyboards is that they add thickness and given how everyone seems to be focusing so heavily on thinness I don't want them compromising somewhere else to shave off a the few mm that a backlit keyboard requires. I'd like them to use those mm for a stiffer and more protective lid as I"m tired of needing to keep a cloth between my keys and my screen to prevent the skin oils on the keyboard from transferring to the screen while the computer is in its case.

    Specs have been released

    GeForce GTX 765M | Specifications | GeForce

    765m specs finally revealed.

    GPU Engine Specs:
    768 CUDA Cores
    850 + BoostClock Freq (MHz)
    Memory Specs:
    2000 Memory Clock (MHz)
    GDDR5 Standard Memory Configuration
    128 bitMemory Interface Width
    64.0Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec)

Not too bad. 192-bit would have been ideal, but with those clock speeds performance should be comparable.

192bit would have made these units a lot more expensive and bigger.

So any idea when we might be seeing these on XoticPC or any other site?

Sagers going to finish giving us new models by end of this week, they've indicated that there is more yet to come. Hasn't said anything specifically about this one but could be included in that.

So would have your desired MXM. :p

I don't want to be a downer but couldn't it just be the bling free edition of laptops? Any signs I've had were end of June at earliest. Let's hope I'm wrong (and that's too often to count, so odds are in our favor ;))!

The bling free 17" 9170 replacement is included in this update but the way they worded their update to us led me to believe there were other models included with it. I guess time will tell.
