    Hi, Prema.
Recently I found something wrong with my P370SM(970MSLI).
It seems like a bug that if I press Fn+1 to turn on COOL FAN mode, then press them again for turning off it, but it turns out that I can only turn off COOL FAN mode of primary graphics card fan and CPU fan with ancillary graphics card fan still in COOL FAN mode.
Unless I reboot my laptop, the COOL FAN mode of ancillary graphic card would be open all the time.
Could you please give some advice?Thank you so much for attention! :)

I agree Mr Fox I still have an affinity for the Panther 5 because of the CPU but the X9 on features would out perform it in other areas right now. I wish Eurocom/Clevo was still updating the P570wm chassis. With those 4 fans and a little modding I'm sure it can hold and keep cool dual GtX 980 desktop/notebook GPUs. With a desktop 6 or 8 core Skylake CPU that truly would be most powerful laptop in existence. That would be my dream configuration. If they can manipulate the X9 with future updates to a similar configuration that also would be awesome. When Pascal arrives and the X9 can be outfitted with those GPUS in SLI that will be awesome as well.In my eyes the Panther 5 is still a monster to me...but I do like the way the X9 looks compared to the Panther....sigh...

X99 is over next year. Wait for Skylake-E (which will also support cannonlake-e)! That plus Pascal/Greenland sli/x-fire! :)

It would make less sense to invest in all that R&D so close to a socket generation transition I agree.

Something that we could do (as a community, and, more importantly, resellers) is poll for interest in a skylake-e successor to the P570WM. If there is enough interest, theoretically, we may see a successor upon cpu release. Now, the majority of slide shows show the skylake-E around Q3, but some reports place it pushed to Q1 2017. Either way, polling interest (less those getting the Phoenix, plus those willing to upgrade within or around a year of purchasing the Phoenix, plus those waiting for cannonlake-e) should give a decent idea on demand (to compare to P570WM sales). Give incentive to Clevo to create this beast! :)

That would help, the X79 machine was quite niche, especially in the US, so some market confidence in the idea would help.

I don't have the upper body strength for a P570WM replacement! :p I am however looking forward to the P870DM I will be ordering once we close on the new house and get settled. Or I might just sends ninjas to steal Meaker's MSI and dock. I wonder if ninjas can be hired on craigslist?

Are you sure? I've got both of them less than 5 feet apart. After reading your comment, lifting one up doesn't seem remarkably different than the other one to me. Maybe I'm just too much of an uncouth yeti or something, but they do not feel that much different in weight to me. Dimensions are almost identical, minus the tall feet on the bottom of the Panther (P570WM). I mention it because if you've handled a Panther before and found it too heavy, this new beast is not going to be much different in that regard.

It's ~3 lbs lighter in specs (obviously I don't have the new machine yet). When you lift things with one arm and game in your lap every little bit helps. That would also be assuming the revamped X99/X109 (or w/e) model would retain the same weight as the X79.

Is this like the how much wood could a woodchuck chuck question? :p

Delid just means cutting the crap black and putting the ihs back on. You CANNOT bare die it without a custom heatsink!!! It reduces the height, which would lessen the pressure. You can deal with it or do the screw mod.

Getting closer on the EUROCOM SKY X9 firmware mods @Prema is doing. We both have a ton of time and effort in this. Things are shaping up pretty sweet with the unlocked BIOS... PL1, PL2, PL3, PL4, Ring, Uncore all have separate power, voltage and TDC adjustments, and having full control of memory ratio and timings (easily bumps 2400 to 2666), BCLK and C-States as well as Legacy/CSM (Windows 7) support... oh yeah.

I know you guys are interested in temps. Here's a teaser benchmark showing temps with IC Diamond. I've had it apart several times since I applied CLU, so I'm using IC Diamond until the testing reaches a point of being static and the "official" overclocked benching starts. (The CLU is too expensive to apply repeatedly when you are taking the machine apart every day or two.) This is using stock CPU voltage... just bumped the multipliers and cache and changed nothing else. FN+1 for fans. Single 330W AC adapter. And, of course, @Prema awesome GTX 980 unlocked vBIOS is being used in this example.

true, but it gets boring more quickly than blue does :D

4.6 at high 80s is ridiculous, especially with ICD. so whos up for 4.8 temp stable with clu, no other mods? :D

4.6GHZ with no throttling is awesome. If the 6700K can be set to hold this clock for long periods of time without eventually throttling would be excellent. With Dual 980M in sli with a slight overclock video rendering times can be cut significantly. Most games should get 90FPS+. Mr. Fox and Prema you are swaying me to getting one of these..but i MUST resist......LOL......#HOPING4theBESTwithPASCAL#NextSKYLAKE6or8corePOSSIBLY

Skylake won't have that core count, nor will kabylake. Even the rumor cannonlake will had since been shown to be possibly a misunderstanding. Now Pascal is fine to wait for, arrives with kabylake which uses the same socket and would just need a bios update, most likely. So mark it for next summer buy... Otherwise, wait to see if they will release a p570wm replacement around Jan 2017... Just saying those are more realistic! :)

Well too much pressure is just down to what the design can take, technically if the heatsink could take it pressure would always help ;)

GTX980M should have no problem anyway but desk top 980 is another story.
they should arrive 2 weeks ago and now there is none on the market for customers I believe.

When I configured with HID it was around 300 more expensive for me than Mythlogic which was a total bummer because my configuration was pretty basic since I have the drives and OS already.

In my case, not with this order but with the previous order that I canceled which was for the P770DM-G, configuring it with HIDevolution was $400 USD cheaper than with XOTIC PC for the same exact configuration. Strange.

Email their sales Team addressing Ted, their Manager and ask for a discount, Im sure he can do something about it. That's if you want to have the Phoenix ahead of everyone else off-course

Mine has gone into production, should hopefully have it within two weeks. Can't wait to play with it.
