Most people are getting P5700 - P5900 in 3DMark 11 stock with factory drivers.

I also run one of the MSI Kombuster stress tests and then open HWMonitor. It shows graphics as Intel GMA but the temps are actually those of the 7970.

Hey guys, I've run into just one issue so far with my np9150.

When playing Skyrim, my body shakes when I am moving and looking up and down at the same time, it's extremely annoying.

I am using the 7970m with stock drivers for everything. Does anyone know the possible issue?

Hey NBR, it's good to be back.

The same 95% matte screen is used for the W5*0 thinkpads and the P150EM, I think.

MALIBAL must be trying very hard to salvage their reputation in a way that is totally not shady at all!

Same key placement except for the Fn keys which appear in a different order but still do the same thing the would on the stock keyboard.

For you and the other guy who wanted to do SSD RAID, they will only run at SATAII speeds and are not recommended.

Try batman from the P150HM owner's lounge, he was the first guy to get a fixed SB laptop and it was a huge lemon.

But at least it fits, and is better than what I had.

Err, that looks like the normal keyboard to me...

Anyway, I've been having 2 problems lately: 1st, I seem to have a bad keyboard too. For me it's the Y key. 2nd, apparently my copy of win7 is now not genuine... :( which is ridiculous because it was working just fine yesterday and now my background is black and I keep getting annoying pop ups. Yes, it was factory installed. Yes, I payed $93 for it. Yes, it's annoying.

So after a week and a half, I love my laptop. However I'm confused on something...

... It seems like sometimes, while playing diablo 3, the game is 100% smooth as can be, then at other times, it doesn't seen to be very smooth at all.

    I have the 7970m

I set diablo3.exe to high performance, is there anything else I may be doing wrong? I thought the 7970 gets 100+fps on ultra for diablo 3 but it def seems at times that I'm not getting 60fps. Compared to my friends year old non gaming desktop I should be as smooth as his at least.

Use FRAPS and see what FPS you are getting instead of going by feel. Figure out where the FPS is dropping.

I've had the same issue before when installing windows on a different machine, give Microsoft a call and they should be able to provide you with a long authentication code over the phone to make your copy genuine again.

Are u sure they activiated it when they installed it?

When I first got my np8150 from xotic everything seemed fine then 30 days later i got the non genuine message. Turns out they never activated it and i just had to enter the key.

Well I"m going to RMA my laptop tomorrow if they send me a code. Very upset about my laptop not working. I pre ordered 7970m and 3610 ivy bridge on May 1 and just got it this monday. Have been trying to fix it since monday almost non stop to no avail.

    -_-

I give up and am asking them to send me another that isn't messed up -_-.

I'm almost considering waiting for the 680m even though it is overpriced, but it would be too expensive.

Maybe I'll get my money back : Buy a GTX 670 desktop set up [I already have case, 1000w power supply, CPU cooler] for $800-900 all together and then put my other $700 into a normal more portable laptop.

But I'll probably just get another laptop as I do love the portability, but a GTX 670 would be ridiculously awesome; may have to wait till next year for that though; SLi 670's would be retardedly powerful.

Mine is pretty flawless. Skyrim, BF3, D3 (crappy game though) all run great.

Btw, for anyone running skyrim, make sure you install the FXAA Injector that lets you tweak the sharpness of the graphics(among other things like messing with the color if you so choose)... it makes it incredibly better looking with only like a 5% performance drop or so.

Don't be so nervous. Remember when we have problems we take to the internet and attempt to find a solution - as many on this thread are doing - and therefore it seems as if everything is going wrong. Just count all those that were in the thread earlier waiting for their laptop and now are nowhere to be seen because they are enjoying their perfect laptop!

To everyone that is having troubles, I wish you guys the best of luck!

I haven't measured it, it's pretty solid though, i'd guess 40+ most of the time with textures on high and most of the rest of the stuff on low. You actually see a bit better with everything lower than higher because people stand out better.

supposed to be getting mine sometime tomorrow, any tips on what i need to do first with this thing? I got windows pre-installed. Do the drivers just go in order on the disc? Just really excited about this thing and don't wanna screw this beast of a laptop up

*Edit: I have the 7970 and are there any beta drivers that are worth looking at that any of you guys have had luck with?
*Update: the laptop just left Hodgkins IL on 8:27 PM, and I live near Indianapolis IN. About a 3 1/2 hour drive anybody have guesses on my time arrival?

Noob question of the day: I'm looking at the drivers... If I get the 7970m do I need to install both the generic Windows 7 Video drivers and 7970m Video drivers or just the 7970m Video drivers?

    Software Upgrade

Dang, now I'm REEEEAAAALLLYYY disappointed on my order.
Ordered May 28, doesn't get PROCESSED and put into phase II until June 21.
People are getting their laptops WAY faster than I am!
I simply don't understand as to why Sager/XoticPC can't do their order's on a first come first damn serve basis...
Has anyone else have these ridiculously long wait times? (Except Micahmatthew, hope the RMA goes well!)

Well said and +Rep, although I haven't been around because I've been having too much fun with the new re-release of Pikmin 2 when I should be paying attention to my P150EM.

Well, I waited a little over a month with no computer, but I got the 675m (mostly to save time, ironically). But hey, I definitely feel for you two and am rooting for both of you!

OK, I got a product key! And windows threw it back in my face. How rude. I emailed mythlogic to see if they know anything about it, but it's really late now so I can't expect a reply 'til tomorrow.

And I now have 680 posts. Could this be a subliminal message regarding upgrades?

iaTa how did you install drivers? Also a new 12.6 is out, its the only one that hasn't BSOD me.

Do you install stock then install just the "device driver" of the new beta???

And how do I make games/the computer use the 7970M? the options aren't available to me in catalyst or anything

2 TB on a laptop? Why not get the 17" so you can throw 1 SSD and 2 large drives also?

Or get a NAS server at home and save to that :p

if you need the storage space that much then get the 240gb or 120gb msata for OS and your main files/games then store everything else on the 2 tb's. my p9150 i just bought a mushkin atlase 240gb and kept the 750gb and optical drive. newegg sells them for 349.99 a little expensive but all new tech usually are.
BTW sager and xoticpc both states that 680m's are here so if you ordered one like I expect your order status to change soon =P

Yeah you will lose switchable graphics support in CCC if you upgrade it beyond the stock Sager 12.4 CCC.

So you need to do a clean intall of the stock Sager 12.4 driver, reboot and then install purely the display driver of 12.6 or 12.7.

They say glare type gives off better colors and what not but the question is are you playing under sunlight and/or flourecent lights? if so I would go with matte less strain on the eyes and one who's not a photoshop expert probably won't be able to tell the difference. If you only use the laptop in dark rooms with little lighting then I would get the glare because glare types are brighter than matte.

    note*

Check out the new alienware mx17 glare type and you can literally see the glare from the daylight/flourecent lighting.

I've built many custom desktops but the conditions of when and where I can use my computer has changed due to my 8 month old =). Besides i joined nbr to get the extra 50$ off from xoticpc =P

Still trying to fix the obnoxious screen blink when I log on, but otherwise for the a computer this powerful under $1500 I can't really complain much. In hindsight if I had the extra money to spend I probably would be enjoying an Alienware a bit better (even though I despise Dell). That being said this laptop is awesome and I love the rubber coating, it's just nitpicking the quality control issues here there.

I ordered mine on May 13th and to be expecting my laptop today. Didnt go into proudction until june 18th but then it went quick and shipped in just over a week. Been browsing at this computer since they released it at xotic so my wait is alot longer than my order time suggests.

How about an mSATA as main OS drive? Will give you a nice start/load times.

I seem to be having one slight problem with my 150em. When I'm done playing a game, the 7970m's fans keep on blowing. The only way to stop them is starting a 7970m game and closing it again. Any solution?

Try pressing fn+1 and then fn+1 again.
