Any photos on chassis? Or which model frame is it based on. Didn't see anything on Clevo NH50 yet. Thanks.

Looks like this might be a decent budget/slim-ish model?

Thermal pads section, the wifi cards I suppose but they are pretty universal.

Thanks for taking the time to create these. I'd recommend grouping them by chassis designation and including all variants in the same thread (like you did with the MSI GE75 thread, for example, which includes 8RE and 8RF versions). I think it would be easier for people to compare specs and find solutions to common issues (instead of having the same things posted on different parts of the forum)

They are, mostly they are split by screen size as there can be spec differences.

My suggestion pointed to the following:

Instead of having *** Official Clevo P960ED Owner's Lounge *** and *** Official Clevo P960EF Owner's Lounge *** we could centralize everything in *** Official Clevo P960 Owner's Lounge *** (or even P96x in case Clevo releases a minor update).

Same thing could be done with *** Official Clevo P970ED Owner's Lounge *** and *** Official Clevo P970EF Owner's Lounge *** being concentrated in *** Official Clevo P970 Owner's Lounge *** (or P97x in case of minor update).

    Finally, doing a merge of *** Official Clevo PB51EF-G Owner's Lounge *** and *** Official Clevo PB51EF Owner's Lounge *** into *** Official Clevo PB51 Owner's Lounge ***.

I believe those are more or less similar variants of the same chassis (just like MSI GE75 has variants 8RE and 8RF)

Just received my NH50ED today and I'm in love. Took an extra long lunch break just to play around with it a bit. Was there someone here from the HIDevolution team who was offering tweaks to Win10? Also, how do I claim my free game for getting the RTX 2060?

Great to hear. Any chances you can drop in some review? Especially how are thermals and noise?

Anyone have more info on the NH55EDQ? There's been no reviews and very little info online. At ~$1200 base it seems like the cheapest 2060 laptop by far.

The older value series machines will give you an idea on general design though cooling is tweaked.

Thermals and performance look good. Guessing there's no point paying extra for the P960RD for only better build quality and a i7-9750H? I'm most likely gonna get the 144hz panel version unless the EVOC 16GK5 is a lot better. The only question I have is whether or not the battery on the NH58/NH55 is upgradeable.

Depends on what you are doing in terms of mobility needs on if the extra is worth it to you.

The extras for both are just better build quality, right? The P960 has a bigger battery but battery life seems about the same. No practical difference between 8750H and 9750H. The Tongfang has a mechanical keyboard. I'm not ordering through eluktronics so no eluktroboost. It seems like there's no point paying extra for the higher tier models but I ask to make sure I'm not missing anything.

It's down to portability and materials, the value models focus on getting the same performance at a cheaper price. The thermal solution is better this gen in the value series so that's less of a difference.

What do you mean by upgradable? Bigger size? If that's the case then unfortunately, no since the battery is removable from outside
Yes, better build quality. The plastic build in NH58 is alright though. Battery life isn't same - NH58 has 3-4 hrs while P960 has ~5 hrs battery life. There is some slight FPS increase in 9750H compared to 8750H in some games due to higher single core speed.

All 9th gen TongFang models (except 1050/1650 models) do have turbo feature which increases GPU TDP for higher clocks. Not just Eluktronics only

I'm deciding between the NH58 model with 8750H and RTX 2060 vs. the PB-51 with 8750H and RTX 2070. Doesn't seem like good value to spend 20% more for the P960 or Tongfang with the same specs. Build quality isn't too important to me since the laptop will be sitting at home and functioning as a desktop most of the time. An extra hour of battery life also isn't a big deal. The 2070 non max-q is a big step up but the PB-51EF-G has cooling issues with its feet placement.

Bob and others have noted that the feet placement on the PB 51 restricts airflow.

Less than you would think, it's mostly stylised and all laptops cool down with a rear lift anyway.

PB51 does benefit more from raising up the bottom for more airflow compared to other models. If you can spend on PB51, go for it. Solid machine overall. If you want something cheaper and don't mind all plastic build, NH58

Compared to other models with mobile CPUs it's got more to gain with larger fans and thicker heatsinks.

I ended up going with the PB51 for the simple but overlooked reason that the GPU is not upgradeable but the rest of the laptop is.

It's probably not technically the right thread for this but it is a pretty specific question...

Does anyone know the screw size for the CPU heatsink in the NH58ED's? The head of one of mine is stripped, I can get it out but I'll need a replacement :) Is there somewhere I can order Clevo spare screws? My Google-fu is failing me :)

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Resellers can often sort you out with screw sets. Hit up a local one.
